Summary:
We are hiring a strategic Public Relations Director with 12+ years of experience (agency experience strongly preferred) and 5+ years of management experience to join our team and lead major client accounts, most notably within our firm’s largest practice area. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned, entrepreneurial leader to shape narrative, drive measurable outcomes, and contribute meaningfully to a growing, award-winning agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct all public relations strategy and execution for clients and the brand, including managing a 13-person (and growing) PR team, setting up systems and procedures, and upholding the highest PR standards.
- Define, direct, and execute high-impact PR campaigns.
- Provide community presence through outreach to strategic partners and local establishments.
- Establish a department culture of learning and growth, where open and honest communication is celebrated and encouraged.
- Practice business development and participate in RFP and pitch meetings with other management members.
- Drive crisis communication plans and strategies, including drafting statements and coaching clients, and implement strategies based on client needs and market realities.
- Prepare thought leaders and subject matter experts for media-facing opportunities, including the presentation of media training.
Qualifications
- Resume in English
- English fluency at C1 or C2 level
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a PR agency or firm, preferably with experience in fast-growing environments.
- Proven success in building and managing media relationships that generate impactful, high-visibility coverage.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and scaling PR teams with a strong emphasis on inclusion and collaboration.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling stories.
